School Community Council

Here is a list of facts that should help you understand the responsibilities of our school community council

A Community Council is a committee made up of Parents and Faculty to represent the needs of students and classes

In our meetings we discuss ways that Utah Land Trust monies can be and are spent for Huntington Elementary

Land Trusts are designated areas in the state of Utah where profits are devoted to education throughout Utah

The majority of the money we are allotted is used to pay for instructional aides

The remainder of the money is used for online software programs such as Dreambox,  Really Great Reading, and Lexia

Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings

All meetings will be held at Huntington Elementary (any changes or additional meetings will be posted in advance)

We invite parents to consider serving on the School Community Council. An election is held during the Fall as needed

Upcoming Meetings for 26-27 *meeting time is 3:30 unless otherwise noted*

  • November 18, 2026 - Data Update meeting: Academics, SEL, Digital Citizenship
  • January 6, 2027 - Draft 26-27 Land Trust Plan
  • February 3, 2027 - Plan Approval or adjustments
  • March 3, 2027 - If additional Meeting is needed
